Alita is the titular protagonist of the 2019 film Alita: Battle Angel, based on the manga series Gunnm (also known as Battle Angel Alita) by Yukito Kishiro.
She is a cyborg with a human brain discovered in a scrapyard by cybernetic doctor Daisuke Ido. Ido rebuilds her, giving her a new body.
